I hope you enjoy yours! $5.49 seems a lot, but I am sure they were worth every penny!Marie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-33351519027457528332014-06-29T08:29:47.292+01:002014-06-29T08:29:47.292+01:00You must be psychic!

I will not buy those horrid 'greenhouse' ones in winter. As I was leaving Sobeys on Friday night, I saw a flat of berries come in - in their lovely traditional wooden boxes - all lush and plump. We do get excited over little things! But they weren't priced yet. I roared back in to get them yesterday morning - ALL GONE! I was devastated. We went to the shore and I looked longingly at the U Pick in Grande Digue - no sign out yet... but as we came back from the cottage last evening - a sign at their veggie stand - STRAWBERRIES! My car knew which way to turn! They were lush, plump and shiny and in the requisite wooden box. I had to pay $5.49 for them (!!!) and they had come from the Annapolis Valley and they are going to be soooooo good tonight - shortcake for sure. They are so popular around here that they could even be the first course BEFORE the main course. Until strawberries, there is no summer...Linda Evanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06864408104475747800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-42951219499564065702014-06-29T06:03:54.594+01:002014-06-29T06:03:54.594+01:00Thanks Zana! I am like that with shell fish, which is why you never see shell fish on here. Todd is allergic as well, so we just avoid it altogether! xxMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-28480499769723065592014-06-28T10:21:08.742+01:002014-06-28T10:21:08.742+01:00Sigh!
