Th...I've just found you and am now a follower!

This is my Pillau rice recipe - feel free to blog if you like it.

Enough basmati rice for two
2 cloves
2 black cardamon pods
4 green cardamon pods
1 teaspoon cummin seeds
1 heaped teaspoon fennel seeds
Pinch of saffron strands

Soak the rice and spices (except the saffron) for at least 4hrs and then wash in cold water.

Add to water with the saffron, bring to the boil, and leave at a gentle boil for 4 minutes (or until cooked).

Drain and remove the cloves and cardamon pods.

On the subject of basmati rice, it is worth seeking out an Asian store to buy this - it's so much better!Keithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04337680951744816607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-59456827971061485392011-07-27T13:42:58.247+01:002011-07-27T13:42:58.247+01:00LOVE me a curry... this looks soo good!
