Tonight I made your almond cake for my best friend's birthday. I served it with asimple combination of blueberries, blackberries, and rasberries. It was a huge hit. The next thing on my list is your maple walnut muffins. I live in Southwestern Ontario and I love maple syrup too! Thanks for all the great recipes. Keep them coming, please!Kerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05987921349905367895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-38705366592030176502010-11-02T23:27:02.005+00:002010-11-02T23:27:02.005+00:00How utterly yum!How utterly yum!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09337016058758202863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-4006429406398848432010-11-02T21:21:12.138+00:002010-11-02T21:21:12.138+00:00Hello Marie!

I am usually...Hi Marie, Thank you for answering. I am usually a successful baker and I think that by doing all the mixing in the processor the eggs were not whipped fluffy enough. I used regular all purpose flour..a scant 1/2 cup and I did fold it in. My cake, while extremely thin, is a soft, delicate crumb and delicious...so, no problems with that. I think that when I make it again I will not mix the eggs after the marzipan and sugar in the processor, but beat them separately with a mixer ...then fold that into the sugar mix and then fold in the flour.....OR, I will do it the easy way and just use a smaller diameter pan...It's good, good, good!Carlene's Worldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18282247089467518866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-85836375975532981642010-11-02T01:21:13.911+00:002010-11-02T01:21:13.911+00:00Marie..I love almond desserts:) So pretty too!Marie..I love almond desserts:) So pretty too!La Table De Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04358539954508050792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-36313980288334427122010-11-01T19:44:20.856+00:002010-11-01T19:44:20.856+00:00You always have a way to tempt in and try foods an...You always have a way to tempt in and try foods and flavours that I think I don't like. As you can see from my pictures, my cake is only about an inch thick. Its really important that you fold the flour into the creamed mixture, so that you don't lose any air that has been incorporated into the creamed mixture. I am stumped! What kind of flour did you use? I measured my tart pan again and it is indeed 10 inches.Marie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-62380982561920546092010-11-01T18:22:15.453+00:002010-11-01T18:22:15.453+00:00Hello Marie, I am a long time reader, (but, non-c...Hello Marie, I am a long time reader, (but, non-commenter) and just love your recipes. Until now, I have never had a problem, but today...I made your almond cake. Easy it was. I used the 10 inch tart pan...even measured it to be sure. After 20 minutes!!!...out she came....the thickness of a thin slice of bread...about 1/4 ". It tastes dee-vine, as I knew it would...but, could there possibly be an ingredient left out, or could the size of the tart pan be wrong or have I made a horrendous mistake?? My thinking is that I should have used the medium size springform instead of such a large tart pan to make it thicker.....???Carlene's Worldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18282247089467518866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-68341952216701774422010-11-01T12:45:28.019+00:002010-11-01T12:45:28.019+00:00I've recently discovered you and am so happy a...I've recently discovered you and am so happy about it! Marzipan (I always use the white but maybe yellow gives a better appearance in this cake?) is, thankfully, easily available in England. Where it isn't it is very, very easy to make your own, just a bit faffy.Angiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10015569343069499036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-63557343302658272302010-11-01T10:19:23.768+00:002010-11-01T10:19:23.768+00:00Hayırlı haftalar.
